1) INFORMATION ABOUT THE COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA AND CONTACT DETAILS OF THE RESPONSIBLE PERSON

1.2 The data controller on this website, within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), is Taupo Trends. The data controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of such data.

2) DATA COLLECTION DURING YOUR VISIT TO OUR WEBSITE

While simply browsing our site, that is, if you do not register or provide us with any other information, we only collect data that your browser transmits to our server (so-called “server log files”). When you visit our site, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary to show you the site:

Processing is done in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 letter f of the GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website. Data will not be transmitted or used for any other purpose. However, we reserve the right to retrospectively examine server log files if there are concrete indications of illegal use.

Some of the cookies we use are deleted at the end of your browser session, i.e. when you close your browser (so-called session cookies). 4) CONTACTS

In the context of communication with us (e.g., via contact form or e-mail) personal data are collected. The data collected via a contact form are indicated in the respective form. This data is used exclusively to respond to your inquiries and for related technical administration. The legal basis for data processing is our legitimate interest in responding to your request, pursuant to Article 6 Paragraph 1 lit. f of the GDPR. If your request is for the purpose of concluding a contract, the additional legal basis for processing is Art. 6 par. 1 lett. b of the GDPR. Your data will be deleted once your request has been fully processed, unless there are legal obligations to retain it.

5) DATA PROCESSING FOR THE OPENING OF A CUSTOMER ACCOUNT AND FOR THE EXECUTION OF CONTRACTS

In accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b of the GDPR, personal data will be collected and processed if you provide it to us for the execution of a contract or the opening of a customer account. The data collected are indicated in the respective input forms. You can cancel your customer account at any time by sending a message to the above address of the person in charge. Your data will be stored and used for the execution of the contract. After the complete execution of the contract or the deletion of your customer account, your data will be blocked for compliance with the retention periods required by tax and commercial law and deleted at the end of these periods, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or unless further use of your data by us is legally permitted, of which we will inform you accordingly.

 

6) USE OF YOUR DATA FOR DIRECT ADVERTISING

6.1 Subscription to our e-mail newsletter

When you subscribe to our e-mail newsletter, we will send you regular information about our offers. The only mandatory data for sending the newsletter is your e-mail address. The provision of additional data is optional and is used so that we can contact you personally. We use the Double Opt-in method for sending the newsletter. This means that we will send you the newsletter by e-mail only after you have expressly confirmed that you agree to receive the newsletter. We will then send you a confirmation email in which we ask you to confirm by clicking on an appropriate link to receive future newsletters.

 

By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent to use your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a of the GDPR. When subscribing to the newsletter, we save the IP address recorded by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and the date and time of your subscription so that we can track possible misuse of your e-mail address at a later time. The data collected during newsletter subscription is used exclusively for advertising purposes through the newsletter. You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link provided in the newsletter or by sending a notice to the data manager listed at the beginning. After cancellation, your e-mail address will be immediately removed from our newsletter distribution list, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve further use of your data that is legally permissible and of which we inform you in this statement.

6.2 Sending the e-mail newsletter to existing customers

If you have provided us with your e-mail address when purchasing goods or services, we reserve the right to send me regular offers on goods or services similar to those already purchased, via e-mail. It is not necessary to obtain separate consent from you. The data is processed solely on the basis of our legitimate interest in personalized direct advertising within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. If you initially objected to the use of your e-mail address for this purpose, we will not send any e-mails. You have the right to object at any time to the use of your e-mail address for this advertising purpose with future effect by means of a communication to the data controller named at the beginning. For this purpose, you will only be charged transmission costs according to the basic rates. Upon receipt of your objection, the use of your e-mail address for advertising purposes will be terminated immediately.

7) DATA PROCESSING FOR ORDER PROCESSING

7.1 The personal data collected by us is transmitted to the transportation company in charge of delivery, if necessary for delivery of the goods. Your payment data is transmitted to the credit institution in charge of payment processing, if necessary for payment processing. If payment service providers are used, we will indicate this explicitly below. The legal basis for data transmission is Art. 6 para. 1 letter b of the GDPR.

7.2 Using payment service providers ( Paypal ) 

PayPal

In case of payment via PayPal, credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal or, if offered, “Purchase on Invoice” or “Payment in installments” via PayPal, we transmit your payment data to PayPal (Europe) S.a.r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg (hereinafter “PayPal”), for payment processing. Transmission takes place in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b of the GDPR and only to the extent necessary for payment processing.

PayPal reserves the right to conduct a credit check for payment methods credit card through PayPal, direct debit through PayPal or, if offered, “Purchase on Invoice” or “Installment Payment” through PayPal. For this purpose, your payment data may be transmitted, pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f of the GDPR, to credit bureaus on the basis of PayPal's legitimate interest in determining your creditworthiness. The results of the credit check in relation to the statistical probability of default are used by PayPal to decide whether to grant the requested payment method. The credit check may contain probabilistic values (so-called score values). If the scoring values affect the outcome of the credit check, they are based on a scientifically recognized mathematical-statistical method. You can object to this processing of your data at any time by sending a notice to PayPal. However, PayPal may continue to process your personal data if necessary for contractual payment processing.

  • SOFORT

    If you choose the payment method “SOFORT”, payment processing is done through the payment service provider SOFORT GmbH, Theresienhöhe 12, 80339 Munich, Germany (hereinafter “SOFORT”), to which we pass on the information you provide during the ordering process, including information about your order within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lett. b of the GDPR. SOFORT GmbH is part of the Klarna Group (Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sveavägen 46, 11134 Stockholm, Sweden). The transmission of your data takes place exclusively for payment processing purposes with the payment service provider SOFORT and only to the extent necessary for this purpose. 8) CONTACT FOR EVALUATION REMINDER

Evaluation reminder (no mailing via a customer evaluation system)

We use your e-mail address for a one-time evaluation reminder for your order for the evaluation system we use, if you have expressly given us your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a of the GDPR during or after your order. You can revoke your consent at any time by sending a communication to the data controller.

9) USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA: SOCIAL PLUGINS

9.1 Facebook Plugin with Shariff Solution.

On our web page we use so-called social plugins (“Plugins”) from the social network Facebook, operated by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA (“Facebook”).

To increase the protection of your data while visiting our website, these buttons are not embedded as integral plugins, but only via an HTML link on the page. This ensures that when you access a page on our site that contains such buttons, no connection is yet established with Facebook's servers. If you click on the button, a new browser window will open and the Facebook page will be loaded, where you can (possibly after entering your login information) interact with the plugins present.

9.2 Google+ plugins (Shariff solution)

We use Google+ plugins on our website, operated by Google LLC. To better protect your privacy, these plugins are only integrated as HTML links. 9.3 Instagram plugin (Shariff solution)

Our website uses Instagram plugins, operated by Instagram LLC. These plugins are also integrated as HTML links so that there is no connection to Instagram when you visit our website. 10.1 DoubleClick by Google

We use DoubleClick by Google to display relevant ads and improve campaign performance. DoubleClick uses cookies to prevent you from seeing the same ads repeatedly and to measure conversions. 10.2 Google AdWords conversion tracking

Our website uses Google AdWords with conversion tracking to measure the effectiveness of our advertising measures. 11 Google (Universal) Analytics
